About B.A. LL.B. Program

Sagarmatha College of Law offers a five-year B.A. LL.B. course after the completion of +2 or an intermediate course in any stream. The course comprises studies of a wide range of legal areas and is designed to relate the study of law with professional fields, social sciences, and technology.

In the initial first and second years, students are familiarized with the basic principles of political science, economics, sociology, and management, and their significance in law is demonstrated. Fundamental principles and concepts of law, legislative principles, and theories of criminal and procedural laws are also discussed.

In the third year, students are exposed to advanced theories and principles of law, such as trial advocacy, ethics, and constitutionalism. In the fourth and fifth years, the course generates specialized knowledge in different domains of legal science.

The mandatory clinical teaching approach has made students excellent in case preparation, client interviewing, and counseling. English is the compulsory medium of communication, and seminars, interaction sessions, and workshops are regularly conducted for academic enhancement.
