Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Laws (B.A.LLB) at SM College, affiliated to Purbanchal University (PU) is a five-year undergraduate program that blends the study of law with foundational and advanced knowledge in Arts and Humanities. It is designed for students who aspire to pursue a professional legal career while gaining a multidisciplinary insight on law studies. It comprises of theoretical and practical skills necessary for the legal field and beyond.
The program is structed in a way to help students develop a strong analytical and argumentative and research skills while understanding the socio-political, economical and cultural aspect in which functions. At SM College of Law, the students are trained not only in core national and international law, but also exposed to core legal foundations of Business Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law and Environmental Law. With such amalgamation of courses students are able to enhance their knowledge and concept of law, justice, rights, governance and legal ethics.
Graduates of B.A.LLB can pursue a wide range of legal careers such as advocacy, judiciary preparation, corporate legal advising, human rights work, legal academia, international law and many more. Teaching methods at SM College of Law includes Lectures, Moot Courts, Legal Aid Clinics, Case studies and research and Internships.
The candidate applying for B.A.LLB program must have successfully completed a twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any University, board or institution recognized by Purbanchal University and secured at least 40 % in the 10+2, PCL or equivalent program.
Especially, the candidate must have scored at least D Plus (D+) in each subject in 10+2. The students must also pass the entrance examinations and criteria for admissions set forth the by the college and PU.

- Provide students with an understanding of key theories and perspectives in political science.
- Promote comprehension of various elements of political systems, including politics, the state, governance, and related areas.
- Explore the challenges of democracy and examine the role of law in sustaining and evolving political systems, with a special emphasis on Nepal and other South Asian nations.
